Gucci has chosen to renowned songstress Rihanna to star in the fashion house’s first ever ad campaign for UNICEF.

Rihanna, after performing for Gucci’s UNICEF fund raiser, was chosen by creative director Frida Giannini for her "her strong personality". Giannini, in an interview with WWD, reportedly said "When we decided to dedicate a full ad campaign, more than just creating products, to really come out and show our commitment to UNICEF, I felt a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign."

The ad campaign for UNICEF which stars the beautiful musician will be out in December. The ad campaign will be called "Tattoo Heart". And, naturally wanting to keep things under wraps, Gucci refused to give anything, only saying that Rihanna will be featured wearing limited edition Gucci products for the UNICEF fundraiser. 25 percent of the sales of said items will be go to the charity.

The young singer has been a long time fan of Gucci, as well as a supporter of children’s causes. Rihanna already has her own charity called The Believe Foundation. For this ad campaign, Rihanna says that "it’s an honour to represent Gucci."
