Life is a Cabaret at Lingerie Americas

Lingerie Americas

Lingerie Americas is giving Victoria’s Secret a run for it’s money. Sans famous super models, Lingerie America’s August 4 show was still able to bring the house down with Cabaret inspired performances and collections. The event featured professional dancers and a long and impressive line-up of international lingeries brands. The stage was reportedly "bathed in golden light and was reflected in the Art Deco mirrored columns of the Cipriani’s 23rd Street."

The show’s impressive line-up featured about 100 looks from more than 40 brands from their Spring/Summer 2009 collections. The two-part show opened with dancers in black body suits, bow ties and bowler hats. The opening dance number was followed by the presentation of collections from noted fashion designers such as Aubade, Princess Tam Tam, Simone Perele, Gerbe and Huit.

The second dance number paved the way for the second part od the show which featured collection from renowned and new international American brands such as Badgley Mischka, Jessica Simpson Intimates, Nautica, Allure Inside Out, Blus and Feraud.

The Lingerie Americas concluded last August 5, 2008 after a three-day runway show featuring more than 200 looks (which included intimate apparel and swimwear brands). The Lingerie Americas also launched surefire hit brands such as Playboy White Label, set to hit stores in time for Valentine’s Day, and also runway newbie Jessica Simpson Intimates.
